Backyard Skywatch

It's time to link up with my favorites memes Skywatch Friday and  NF Winged.  My first Skywatch post for the New year 2013. In case you are just visiting, I wish everyone all the best in 2013, a Happy & Healthy New Year.

These are some shots of the early morning moon and my birds for NF Winged. And a look at the sky from the woods next to my house.

A recent shot taken from one of our walks in the woods next to my house.

One of my cutest yardbird visitors the Red-Breasted Nuthatch.

From this past weekend some Pine Siskins and American Goldfinches.

My early morning moon taken just this morning, seen with a light cover of clouds.

A zoomed in look at the moon, this shot reminds me of Pink Floyd's Dark side of the moon.

To see more beautiful photos and pretty skies please visit Skywatch Friday
and to see more of the winged critters check out NF Winged

Thanks to Sylvia and Sandy for hosting Skywatch Friday! Thanks to the host of NF Winged.  Also, thank you for stopping by to see my post. I wish everyone a safe and happy weekend.

  9. Hi, Eileen. I really loved
"walking" with you! The Red-Breasted Nuthatch is one of my favorite winter birds. From their habit of climbing on the trees to their funny little Nyack, Nyack sound, they always make me smile!

  10. WoW! Pink Floyd's Dark Side of The Moon... brings back memories of my brother & his friends listening to it. LoL!
Look at all the birdies! I should get some bird feeders & hang them on my back deck, then open the blinds for the cats to have something to watch all day while I'm at work... get a cam & set it up for me to watch them, that should be a hoot! =)

  43. Nice birds, but the names don't tell me anything. I'll search the name in latin so I know which bird it is in French. I see which family the bird's belonging so I search on this...
